LONESTAR
LONESTAR

For more than thirty years, Michael Britt has been the quiet force driving Lonestar’s unmistakable sound. While the band’s chart‑topping hits—“Amazed,” “I’m Already There,” “No News”—often spotlight soaring vocals and sweeping emotional arcs, Britt’s guitar has always been the connective tissue. His playing is the pulse beneath the melody, the texture that gives Lonestar its identity, and the spark that keeps the band evolving.

Born in Fort Worth and raised on a steady diet of rock, Britt first picked up a guitar as a teenager and never put it down. After cutting his teeth in Texas bands, including Canyon, he moved to Nashville in 1992 and joined Texassee—the group that soon became Lonestar. When the band signed with BNA Records in 1995, Britt’s blend of country warmth and rock edge helped shape a sound that would carry Lonestar to more than 10 million albums sold and nine No. 1 country singles.
